We are talking about more than 70% of employers in Russia. At the same time, about 50% install special software that directly monitors their office computers. Evgeny Kashkin, Associate Professor of Intelligent Information Security Systems at RTU MIREA, explained how to find out that you are being watched in this way.

According to the expert, if your actions seem to be monitored by your work computer, you should first read your employment contract and its appendices.

If the employer did not specify something similar to you in the contract, but you still want to check, open the “Task Manager”. After that, go to the Processes tab and see if any of the well-known employee monitoring software is running in the background on the device.

This is in the case of using a Windows machine. On macOS, go to Utilities and launch Activity Monitor.
