Google Chrome is currently one of the most used browsers in the world, available on desktops and various mobile devices. Aiming to further improve this service, Google is always trying to update the program, bring new functions and make it even faster.

1. Open the browser
The first step in checking if your browser needs to be updated is to open the program. Therefore, double-click the left mouse button on the Google Chrome icon on the desktop and wait until it starts.
2. Check if a new update is released
Normally, Google always notifies the user to let them know that a new version of Google Chrome is released. This notification appears in the upper-right corner of the screen, next to your profile picture. According to the company, signage will always appear with the word “Update” in green, orange or red.
If the color is green, it means that a new update is available to you in less than two days. If it’s orange, it’s probably been 4 days since the new version was released. Finally, if the color is red, you are using an old version of the program for more than 1 week.
And for those who can’t see the update button like in the example in the photo above, it’s because they’re already using the latest Chrome version released by Google.
3. Refresh the browser
Once you’ve determined that your browser needs to be updated, it’s time to put the process into practice.
- Click the three dots next to your photo in the upper right corner
- Select the “Help” option.
- Click “About Google Chrome” and select “Update Google Chrome”
- Wait until the process is finished and when it is done you must select the “Restart” option for the new update to start working.
It should be noted that when “Restart” is clicked, all pages will be closed and reopened. Therefore, if you are working with documents, forms or even a long download, it is interesting to save information so that everything is not lost.
When the program opens again, you will be able to take full advantage of the new update.
