Apple seems to have decided on the name of the VR headset that it should introduce next year. The company has applied for the registration of several trademarks with the word Reality: this is what the headset will be called, writes Bloomberg.
Applications were filed in multiple countries at once including UK, US, Canada, Uruguay, Australia. The documents are filed on behalf of offshore organizations through which Apple has previously registered trademarks.
The Reality brand could be used as the name for Apple’s VR headset, Bloomberg clarified. Apple previously requested the registration of RealityOS, which may be the operating system to control the headset. Recent introductions include the Reality One, Reality Pro, and Reality Processor banners.
Apple won’t introduce the headphones until 2023, the newspaper notes, as the company had problems with their development.
