EVGA home overclocker Vince ‘Kingpin’ Lucido shared a photo of a system with two RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin cards on Instagram. What’s notable about this setup is the use of two 12VHPWR connectors per GPU; this means this configuration requires a total of not less than twelve 8-pin PCIe power plugs.

In addition to a set of cables, these two models provide significant power consumption. For example, the theoretical power of each PCIe 5.0 connector is 600 watts. Additionally, each card can consume up to 75 W for a total of 2,550 watts via the PCIe slot.

Kingpin will probably try to break all kinds of records with this system. Earlier in February, overclockers managed to break the 3 GHz barrier with a nitrogen-cooled RTX 3090 HOF from Galax. It is not yet clear whether Kingpin will be able to achieve similar speeds with the latest Ampere flagship.
