The Russian service for buying back DamProdam equipment, which allows exchanging old devices for new ones at a surcharge (exchange), entered the Armenian market under the DramDram brand. This was reported to RB.RU by a representative of the company.

Russian equipment exchange service “DamProdam” launched in Armenia

The launch partner is one of the country’s largest telecom operators, Team Telecom Armenia. The investors of the project were two business angels. One of them is Dmitry Stepanov, director of new products at Yandex. The company does not disclose the amount of the investment.

You can check, sell and exchange old devices using DramDram in 90 minutes in Yerevan. You can do this by filling out an online application with the master’s exit, or just to come to one of the operator’s flagship stores.

Residents of other cities in Armenia can exchange the device by mail after online verification.

“About 50,000 Russian managers moved to Armenia. There is an understandable financial infrastructure, partly similar to the Russian one. We were able to immediately agree on a global partnership. Therefore, we chose this particular market,” said Elena Bogatyreva, co-founder of DamProdam.

He added that “very soon” the service will appear in other countries, but not in the CIS.

“DamProdam” allows you to sell used devices: iPhone, Samsung, iPad and MacBook or Apple Watch, receiving money immediately. In Russia, the service operates in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. The service was launched in 2017.
