MegaFon reported that before the start of the school year and in the first week of September, the demand for children’s “smart” watches increased 6 times.
The peak of interest in children’s smart watches occurred on August 31 and September 1. These days, sales increased by 7 times, and the average check – by 15%. The demand for them was 3 times higher compared to December 2021, the operator noted.
In addition, in late August and early September, interest in “smart” children’s watches was higher than in smartphones, whose sales grew by 10%.
The most popular brands are Elari, Jet, Aimoto and Huawei. The device in pink and yellow accounted for 62% of sales.
The main growth driver was 4G-enabled children’s watches: ElarI FMK Go 4G, Jet Kid Vision 4G and Aimoto IQ 4G. Such gadgets make it possible to cook not only to monitor the child, but also to communicate with him via voice and video communication.
