Aeroflot explained to the mobilized and their families the procedure for the return of plane tickets

The company explained the procedure for the return of air tickets, which can also be issued to those mobilized by their close relatives, if the citizen has already left for the place of service.

In this case, they will need a power of attorney to receive funds, or such power of attorney, certified by the commander/head of the military unit/training/institution where the mobilized person is located.

For the rest, the procedure is the same: you must go to the place where you bought the ticket and present any of the documents that prove the right to cancel the contract and return the money (the fact of conscription gives such a right).

Such documents (copies accepted) include:

• diary;
• a mobilization order with documents proving that the military unit to which the citizen is assigned has been transferred to a military status;
• documents (in free form) proving that the citizen requested permission to leave the place of residence, and was denied, with the presentation of documents proving his military registration;
• documents indicating that a citizen is on the military register, applied for permission to leave the place of residence, and has not yet received a response within the first 30 days from the date of introduction of mobilization in the Russian Federation (applications of citizens are considered in accordance with 59-FZ within 30 days from the date of receipt);
• Upon presentation of other documents, the decision on the return of funds will be made at the time of request at the place of purchase of the ticket.

Aeroflot tickets can also be returned in case of interruption of the joint trip:

• family members traveling together on the same flight with a citizen subject to compulsory military service, upon presentation of documents proving the relationship;
• family members who are not traveling with a citizen subject to compulsory military service, upon presentation of documents proving the relationship;
• passengers traveling together with a citizen subject to compulsory military service and have booked with him in a reservation (except for group reservations).

They must also present the documents or copies of the same that prove the fact of the mobilization of their travel companion by the same route.

After Aeroflot, S7 Airlines made a similar decision. She will issue an involuntary refund of air tickets with full expense reimbursement under the same scheme.

The mobilized themselves and their unsuccessful travel companions must provide the documents or copies that prove the call to the place where the tickets were purchased. For those mobilized (if they themselves cannot be present), third parties can present documents.
