Earlier this year, Apple released firmware 4E71 for AirPods.

Users have since started enjoying active noise cancellation in AirPods Max. This was confirmed in The Verge a few months later.

Here are some examples of complaints:

one. I can hear other external noises as well that I haven’t heard since the update. Wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

2. 4E71 is trash. Or perhaps the problem was before update 4E71. I hear myself typing. I hear sounds. Now I hear much more. Noise canceling is gone. I went to Apple, replaced the headphones, and everything is the same as it was. Somewhere in the last month or two, the noise cancellation has disappeared. I use AirPods Max even without listening to music.

3. I hear how I type, the noise of the car on the street. I noticed it almost immediately. The denoising cases worked much better, and I don’t hate the fact that there is no noise to roll back.

There is no solution to the problem, you can not roll back to the old firmware. We are waiting for Apple’s response. [9to5]
