The traffic police will allow to present a driver’s license through the “Gosuslugi Avto” application from October 1, so far in an experimental mode.

The driving license can be presented in electronic format from October 1

This was stated by the head of the Russian State Traffic Inspectorate, Mikhail Chernikov, during the Kazan Digital Week forum, writes RIA Novosti.

According to Chernikov, it will be possible to use an electronic driver’s license in trial mode. Amendments to the SDA are currently being developed to consolidate the document at the legislative level.

Work is also underway to provide access to the service throughout the country, including offline.

Earlier it was reported that the traffic police and the Ministry of Digital Development will finalize the transfer of a driver’s license to electronic format before the end of this year.
