The features of ANCILLARY are in its large size and in the fact that it does not need a runway. It detects rotors with electric motors. So far, it is inferior in power and range to gas-powered drones, but over time, using new technologies and technical solutions, DARPA engineers allow this release.
Thanks to compact sizers (from 3.6 to 4.5 m) in conditions of increased all-weather conditions, it can also land on late destroyers of the Arleigh Burke class, up to 16 of these can be installed.
The auxiliary concept offers the use of a drone for missions and as a cargo drone. the presence of artificial intelligence, as well as the presence of sonar buoys and even the ability to perform the function of a strike drone when used by air-to-air missiles.
