Spam accounts and video removal
Despite the increase in the number of banned fakes, TikTok reduced its spam account creation blocking from 202 million in the first quarter to 75 million in the following period.. The platform said it allows rendering, but is prohibited when profiles are enabled.
The report also pointed to an increase in proactive video removal. That is, when the content is removed before it is reported. In the first three months of 2022, it was 83.6 percent. From April to June, this number increased to 89.1%. Videos deleted less than 24 hours after reporting rose from 71.9% to 83.9%.
