Chef and TV presenter Konstantin Ivlev and the kitchenware and textile manufacturer BY decided to open a home goods store – Ivlev Chef Home BY Kitchen. The first store with an area of 200 m2. m opened at the Zara Men site in the Afimall shopping center in Moscow.
The owners of the business intend to open two more stores in Moscow by the end of 2022. The plans are to develop the network in the regions, while the brand’s products are available in the markets, Kommersant writes.
The head of Infoline-Analytics, Mikhail Burmistrov, suggested that the accelerated development of online sales could become an obstacle to the development of the project in the regions. According to him, investments in opening a store will amount to at least 10 million rubles.
The Kuchenland, Williams and Oliver chains are already developing in the kitchenware market, and the German kitchenware brand Gipfel has begun to open Gipfel home-format stores more actively.
Against the background of the suspension of work in Russia by Zara Home, H&M Home and IKEA, the Russian clothing chains Lime and Stockmann have taken an interest in the home goods market. The first points may appear as early as 2023.
Now the main participants in this market are Tvoy Dom, Hoff, Domovoy, Leroy Merlin, Cozy Home. In July, the Tashir group announced the launch of Zebra Home products for the home. The assortment will mainly include textile products for the home and interior.
