At the same time, we are talking about a version of the smartphone that is not on Samsung’s proprietary processor – a modification of the device based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which passed the test.

The novelty managed to score 1524 points in Geekbench in the single-core test and almost 4600 points in the multi-core test. This tells us at least that the new processor is 14% and 9% more powerful than its predecessor, respectively.

Recall that the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 itself is expected in December 2022. Most likely, the first smartphone based on it will be the Xiaomi 13. But the Galaxy S23 will be released a little later – in January-February 2023.
