Aliexpress Russia will complete a large local logistics project despite the refusal of shareholders to finance the company. The fulfillment center is planned to be completed with an investment of 6 billion rubles, the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported.
Aliexpress Russia has plans to complete the construction of a center in Yekaterinburg with an area of more than 70 thousand square meters. m., said the deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Viktor Evtukhov. According to plans previously announced by the company, the warehouse, which began construction in 2021, should open in the third quarter of 2022.
Earlier it became known that the shareholders of “AliExpress Russia” completely stopped investing in the project. The company halved its staff, stopped investing in marketing and promotion, abandoned plans to develop logistics centers and develop a local market.
