Alexey Pogudalov, commercial director of Holodilnik.ru, told the publication that they plan to continue production at Aleksandrov. Pogudalov noted that the factory is used to manufacture equipment of Whirlpool, Electrolux, Zanussi and other brands.

Another Kommersant interlocutor confirmed that the company intends to “reactivate production in Russia”, but did not exclude the possibility of selling the capacities of a domestic company.

The publication reminded that the Vestel factory in Russia was closed in March 2016 after a Turkish F-16 fighter jet shot down a Russian Su-24 bomber over Syrian territory in November 2015. Then the company explained: The decision to stop production was caused by the economic crisis in Russia.
