Activate desktop version in Google Chrome
In Google Chrome this feature is called computer version. The Chrome browser tells you that the webpage should be displayed on the desktop version and not on the mobile version, which opens by default if you are viewing from your smartphone. As we have already said, the mobile mode has its advantages, but also its disadvantages.
To activate the PC version on Chromiumon both iOS or iPadOS and Android, you will need to open a browser, then open the web page you want to view, and finally navigate to chrome menu in the upper right corner. You will see several options in the dropdown list. Among them, we are interested in activating the option computer version. Whenever you want to return to mobile mode, just uncheck this box to deactivate it.
This usually works. But there are pages that are not taken for granted, so sometimes you still see the page in mobile mode instead of desktop mode. Some Google services like Gmail have it. And some pages, but not all.
Activate desktop version in Safari
if you use Safari On your iPhone and/or iPad, the Apple browser also has its own desktop mode or version by default. The option is called Website in desktop version and you will find it in drop-down menu which is denoted by two capital letters A. It is located in the address bar, where we write what we want to find, or, directly, the web address.
In Safari, after you’ve opened a web page, click this drop-down menu and you’ll see several customization options. What interests us is Website in desktop version and activated by clicking on it. Once you refresh or refresh a page, you will see it in the desktop version. To return to the default mobile view, return to the drop-down menu and click on Website in mobile version.
Like Chrome, some pages don’t obey this setting in Safari. It might help if we place the iPhone and/or iPad in landscape mode. When Safari, this desktop version can be enabled by default for all web pages instead of using the normal mobile mode. And if you activate the option other sites, the desktop version will take over by default instead of the normal mobile mode. You can disable this option whenever you want.
