Aging progresses at different rates in different people. This is also influenced by habits and lifestyle. Now researchers say muscle weakness is linked to accelerated biological aging. According to the data obtained, the weaker your grasping power, the greater your biological age.

The researchers modeled the relationship between biological age and grip strength among 1,274 middle-aged or older participants. They concluded that if people maintained their muscle strength throughout their lives, they could protect themselves from many common age-related diseases.
