Today I want to pay attention to Tecno POVA 4 Pro and Redmi Note 10S. Both are sold in the price range from 15 to 25 thousand rubles.

In terms of design, the devices are very memorable from each other.
TechnoPOVA 4 Pro. The case is made of plastic, and it is felt immediately. The company has created an unusual and recognizable appearance.
Design screams what you’re holding gaming device. Just look at those curves and lines. Personally, I like the iridescent colors under the fibers.
The back panel only externally looks matte. The device collects fingerprints. True, due to competent processing, they are easier to remove. Due to its material, it is securely held in the palm of your hand and does not strive to “run away” somewhere.
As a whole, I have no complaints about the assembly. I saw on the Internet complaints about the squeezing case, but I did not understand what it was all about. In my understanding, nothing plays or creaks, and the back panel does not push through anywhere. I suspect that someone just ran into a marriage.
Hidden in power control fingerprint sensor. This solution has long established itself as one of the most convenient. Even in top-end smartphones, you can still find it.
On the same side was the volume rocker. I note that finding it right away is not as easy as it seems. The buttons are too deep.
On the left side there is a tray for two SIM and a memory card. And on the top end there are holes for a microphone, charging, a speaker and a 3.5 mm jack. The speaker, by the way, is stereo here: both the top and bottom are combined.
Redmi Note 10S. Plastic is also used here, but it is stylized as metal, as in many of the company’s smartphones.
Outwardly, the device does not look cheap, rather belongs to the middle price segment. Personally, I like the way iridescent colors on the back cover.
On the left side, there was a SIM tray for two nanoSIMs and one memory card in microSD format. On the rights, we are met by a volume rocker and a power button with fingerprint scanner.
Below you can see the speaker, microphone, charging port and 3.5 mm jack. The set is analog, there is no difference. Stereo speakers sound about the same level (normal for mobile phones, but no more).

According to the last indicator, I will say that it is possible to use the device in the bright sun, but it will not be so comfortable. Strong glare such brightness will not block.
In general, the impressions from the screen remained. Although he can not boast of high brightness, but he has a floating picture. After the iPhone 13/14 Pro, it hurts me to look at 60Hz displays.
Redmi Note 10S. On the side of this smartphone is 6.43 inch AMOLED display with an infection of 2400 x 1080 retention rate and 60Hz refresh rate.
At the same time, the maximum brightness is 700 nits, which is better for use in bright sunlight. In this case, you will not have any deviation.
I note that not everyone likes AMOLED. contamination with either acid dyes (they are not observed here) or PWM. I can say that I personally saw it. This is probably the first badly calibrated OLED screen, although I see flickering at about 30-40% magnification. And even the additional DC dimming function does not help. How so, Xiaomi?

Performance. Who is cooler
TechnoPOVA 4 Pro. The smartphone uses a beefy setup for the budget MediaTek Helio G99 and 8GB of RAM with expansion and bundle with 256GB of internal storage.
Balanced, energy efficient, powerful. The ideal platform – “drags” everything, although it is not launched at a high level in “heavy” projects. But no lags in games, no overruns, no overheating.
In benchmark testing, the Genshin Impact delivered 30 frames per second on slow excitation. But it is one of the most demanding games.
In the same WoT: Blitz, there were stable 50-60 frames per second, in CoD: Mobile, the same figure was at medium-high values. He and not an outstanding chip, quite fresh, was released in March of this year and has already managed to prove itself with its performance.
In general, the gadget works smoothly and does not slow down. Applications appear relatively quickly by the standards of hard devices.
Redmi Note 10S. Here, “under the hood” is a MediaTek Helio G95 chip and 6/8 GB of RAM. In my case, there was a 6 GB version and 64 GB built-in.
There is a performance increase, but it is extremely weak, so there is not much to add about it. Energy efficiency at the same level.
For “Genshin” the settings are the same, the chip “does not take out” anymore. WoT: Blitz sees 60 frames per second with extremely rare drawdowns, and CoD: Mobile – 60 frames per second with average quality.

In terms of shooting quality, both smartphones give out about the same picture, where daytime photos look normal, and night ones … well, these are night photos in an inexpensive review.

The choice is richer, and there is almost no actual difference, except for macro. At the same time, you can see that this smart one collects more details than a competitor.

Due to the fact that the smartphone has a more powerful “stuffing”, I won’t say that it’s huge, but also rather big.
I charged it 3 times in a week. With a moderate set, it is more than enough for 2 days of continuous work. And this is also a great indicator!
