In the spirit of the World Cup, Nike released a promotional video this Wednesday (16). Containing the “Football Universe”. The video shows the duels between Ronaldinho Gaúcho from Barcelona and Mbappé from 2022, Ronaldo Fenômeno from 1998 and Ronaldo from 2002, and much more.
The ad tells the story of scientists debating which actors are better, past or present stars. From this, they create a time machine for the stars of past years to play with current athletes.
Full of futurism, the commercial also makes reference to the Super Eleven anime by crossing the fields. During disputes between the players, the lively attacker Gouenji appears, but is “fired” from the joke for not being real.
CGI to recreate old players
Using computer graphics, the sports brand “reconstructed” the Brazilian Ronaldo duo and others like Dutch Edgar Davids in 1998 and Cristiano Ronaldo in 2006.
