Researchers from Cornell University (USA) have developed an iOS application that allows you to automatically correct errors when shooting time-lapses if the smartphone moves between captures. It is not always possible to set up a smartphone on a perfectly level fixing tripod in order to.. Leaving the camera in one place for shooting is too inconvenient.
The new application compares the image in the camera’s viewfinder with the previous frame from the timelapse and the date of the op. For example, if we are talking about shooting a landscape, the application remembers the GPS coordinates of each shooting point. When a smartphone unexpectedly appears in this place, the program overlays a translucent image on it so that the operator can align the position of the smartphone.
For filming disappearances, 3D navigation in space is used using the inertial measurement of a monobar. The application determines the position of the camera in the lighting and, using the arrows on the display, tells you in which direction and at what distance you need to move. The app separates each one into a separate project and allows you to easily transfer between them with the same with the last one.
