The messenger of the social network “VKontakte” has become the most popular communication service among schoolchildren, the survey showed. At the same time, teachers and parents of students prefer WhatsApp more. In general, almost everyone uses instant messaging to talk about school issues.
VCIOM conducted a survey of teachers, schoolchildren and their parents. 852 schoolchildren, 855 parents and 747 teachers attended.
The VKontakte messenger turned out to be the most popular communication service among students of grades 1-11, according to the survey results. VKontakte is used by 62% of respondents, Telegram by 58%, WhatsApp by 55%.
WhatsApp is the most popular among parents of schoolchildren and teachers, Telegram is in second place, and VKontakte messenger is in third place.
All the survey participants – schoolchildren, their parents and teachers – consider instant messengers as the most convenient communication channel when it comes to issues related to the educational process. In messengers, they value security and the absence of spam, as confirmed by nearly half of those surveyed.
