On November 25, one of the city routes in Seoul (South Korea) launched an unmanned bus as part of an experiment. According to the engineers, the main goal of the project is the feeling of comfort for passengers, that urban unmanned vehicles can be no less comfortable than conventional ones.

The new bus features a bright, futuristic design with rounded corners and wide windows, making it look more like a pretty toy than a high-tech automotive product.

Autonomous driving technology was developed by the startup 42 Dot, owned by the Korean auto giant Hyundai. In the future, these technologies may be in demand in the production of autonomous delivery vehicles.

For now, the drone bus will run independently on a 3.5 km section in the center of Seoul under the control of the driver. The march will not take 20 minutes. Desired development opportunities after the place is reserved through the application. It will be possible to get on the bus only at two specially designated for several stops.
