Adding an expiration date to Google Drive documents

To add an expiration date to a document, you first need to share it with someone. That is, with a specific contact. For this:

Then, to add an expiration date:
- Back to file
- Click the button Share

Add an expiration date for folders
To share folders with an expiration date, the process is similar to sharing Google Drive documents. You just need to enter the folder from Google Drive or right click and click on Share. First you will need to assign the folder to someone. I mean share. And after you’ve shared, you can set an expiration date.
As explained in the official Google Drive help, “in the case of foldersyou can define expiration dates for readers and commentators. If you install deadline for publisher in the folder, its role will change to Reader. However, you can change their role in Commentator and keep the expiration date.
