Telegram has announced several new features coming to its popular messaging app starting today that promise to change the way you sign up for these services. Platform in particular now allows users to register without a SIM card, thanks to the possibility of obtaining anonymous numbers using Blockchain technology. The new update also adds a global timer for deleting messages, improvements to group topics, and other new features.
The most interesting novelty, without a doubt, is the ability to register in the application without a SIM card. To do this, Telegram uses Fragmentsa platform that allows you to buy anonymous numbers and thus get a non-SIM ID to login to the app. The user only needs to enter the anonymous number he previously purchased and link his Fragment Telegram account. The platform, for its part, will automatically generate a start code that you can copy and paste into the app to access your chats.
Continuing the new privacy features, Telegram’s new update also allows automatic deletion of all chats after a user-defined time has elapsed. This is exactly what the app already allowed in previous versions, although it was only available individually. To activate auto-delete of all chats, you need to go to Settings> Privacy and security> Auto-delete messages. Next, you only need to select a time period (for example, a week).
Telegram improves topics in groups
Topics in groups that work like channels or individual chats in each Telegram group have also improved with the new update. Here and further topics can be created in groups with 100 or more members. The interface has also been redesigned to make these themes easier to access. On the other hand, admins can now post up to 5 topics per group and post an unlimited number of posts per topic.
Speaking of groups, Telegram has activated those that have more than 200 members. new “aggressive” anti-spam mode“. This allows administrators to report false or unsupported messages if the application’s algorithm does not detect them.
The application also receives small but interesting news. Among them is the possibility of creating temporary QR codes, emoji search on iOS, or a redesign of the Storage Usage interface on Android. Also included are 10 new customizable emoji packs or new animated emoji.
