From June 23 to 29, an atypical horror will appear in Italian cinemas: Study 666 by Dave Grohl and BJ McDonnell, whose official photos we show you today.

In Studio 666, to record their highly anticipated tenth album, legendary rock band The Foo Fighters relocate to Encino, California, to a mansion steeped in the macabre history of rock and roll. Here, in fact, decades earlier, a demon-possessed rocker went too far and came into contact with dark forces. Once in that house, Dave Grohl also struggles with writer’s block and supernatural powers that threaten the record’s completion and the band’s survival… That’s all, all Foo Fighters – bassist Nate Mendel, guitarist Pat Smear, drummer Taylor Hawkins, lead guitarist Chris Shiflett and keyboardist Rami Jaffee – will try to stop the dark curse that falls on Dave and them…

Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021, Studio 666 brings the Foo Fighters into the world of horror comedy feature films based on the creative attitude and anarchic playfulness the band has always incorporated into its music videos, combined with the innovative and jaw-dropping flair of director BJ MCDONNELL, who first met the Foo Fighters while working on the video for the Grammy-winning song “Run,” where the Foos played wild old men.

John Carpenter, director, screenwriter and composer famous for his horror masterpieces, was the spiritual godfather of Studio 666, in terms of image, energy and sound. It’s just a “perfect John Carpenter sound” theme that kicks off the film, accompanied by a haunting and playful soundtrack, courtesy of Ministry drummer Roy Mayorga.
