Miratorg and the Vkusno-i Tochka chain plan to start the construction of a new plant for the production of frozen French fries and potato wedges in 2023 to supply the fast food chain companies. This is stated in the “Delicious – period” message.

“Vkusno – that’s the point” and “Miratorg” agreed to build a plant for the production of potato chips

The project is estimated at several billion rubles and will consist of several stages. Thus, it is planned to increase the areas planted with specially selected potato varieties, as well as create Miratorg’s own seed fund.

The plant will be built in one of the central Russian regions, it is planned to build modern vegetable shops, the output of finished products should be at least 90 thousand tons per year.

Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for the end of 2024. Production will reportedly be fully automated.

“Given this year the logistical difficulties in the supply of frozen product, we decided that in the long term it would be more profitable for us to ensure ourselves an uninterrupted supply of potatoes. I am very happy to have found such a big and strong partner like ABH Miratorg; thanks to our cooperation, another large plant will appear in Russia, providing the country’s regions with high-quality products, ”said Alexander Govor, owner of the Sabroso – and Tochka chain.

McDonald’s stopped serving customers in Russia in March 2022. Later, the Russian business was bought by one of the franchisees, Alexander Govor, who launched the network under the new brand “Vkusno, and that’s it.” The revamped businesses started operating instead of McDonald’s in Russia on June 12.
