German truck manufacturer Man sold its Russian business

OOO Man Truck Chelny, which is the official Man dealer in Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, became the sole owner of Man assets in Russia. Autonews writes about the deal, its amount was not disclosed.

The German truck and bus manufacturer Man is part of the Volkswagen Group. The company started production in Russia in 2011 at a plant in Saint Petersburg.

At the end of October, Volkswagen announced its intention to sell the Russian businessman, Scania, Porsche. The automaker intended to implement its plans within 12 months.

According to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the buyer of Man’s assets, Man Truck Chelny LLC, ended 2021 with a net loss of 16.9 million rubles on revenue of 700.8 million rubles.
