Tinkoff has launched a Tinkoff Pay payment tag, which has contactless payment functionality. It must be attached to a smartphone or case. The company called it an alternative to Apple Pay.
“By sticking a Tinkoff Pay label on a smartphone or case, customers can return to their usual contactless payment method. This is especially true for iPhone users, since at the moment there are no analogues of Apple Pay blocked in the Russian Federation, ”Tinkoff said in a statement.
A sticker with the Mir payment system is several times smaller than a card. You can pay with it wherever the terminal is installed. With the tag, you can also withdraw cash from an ATM that supports a contactless authorization method.
Tinkoff Pay is available to Tinkoff Black debit cardholders. Like a bank card, a label is linked to an account. In the future, the configuration of the stickers can be managed from the Tinkoff application.
Now Tinkoff employees are testing the new payment method. Starting in January 2023, paid stickers will be available to everyone.
Tinkoff Premium and Private customers will be able to issue Tinkoff Pay for free; otherwise it will cost 700 rubles.
