Watching the hyper-realistic underwater world of Pandora is interesting. You feel like a small child who learns the world. The living world delights with its colors and fauna.
In this, the filmmaker also decided to take a non-standard path, he used shooting at an increased frame rate, and not 24 frames per second, as was the case in individual films.
Yes, he is not the first to do this, but this effect works as the author noted. Everything feels like a documentary or a video clip from the Internet. It looks especially epic and lively during action moments, of which there are enough here.
Feels the finest approach to each frame. Here everything is checked up to the last second. How the planet is revealed, how the foreign world behaves, how man and aliens behave. Almost all actions in the case have their consequences, the “guns” are placed correctly.
However, the obvious allusion to the triquel and some characters is annoying. It can be seen that they were talking empty, preparing for future films. They are not given due attention, and for more than 3 hours they are simply not directed to open them normally in front of the viewer.
Briefly describing the story, this is a slightly complicated version of the original. She is at about the same level. Not bad, but not great either.
Dialogues sometimes go to a level approaching the absurd. But that’s more of a personal quibble. Yes, and there are very few such moments in the game.
That’s all I’m for: no need to build illusions and restore a revolutionary film in every sense. The Way of the Water is a great movie, but you don’t need to raise your expectations to some incredible level.
What’s nice is that the film doesn’t try to be positive in all of its aspects. There is a lot of violence and a generally gloomy base. And closer to the final, such a decision will play a big important role.

Despite the fact that the story turned out to be not so abstruse, it fits perfectly into the format family cinema. Cameron spent a lot of time with his wife and kids during filming, and it happened.
The director deftly plays on emotions and on the screen a pleasant aftertaste after viewing. Albeit bitterly because of the cliffhanger.
