At RR Auction, a 1976 Apple-1 personal computer sold for $442,118 in good working order. The dashboard of the device was hand numbered by Steve Jobs.
As stated in the article description, enthusiast Corey Cohen restored the computer to working order in 2018. The engineer also prepared a video of the operation and a detailed report on the technical condition of the device. Cohen himself rated the condition of the model 8.5 out of 10.
The purchase comes with a document confirming the authenticity of Steve Jobs’ handwriting on the blackboard, the original Apple Cassette interface, and the original instruction manual.

In total, about 200 Apple-1 computers were created, of which Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak sold 175 pieces. The device purchased at RR Auction has the number 78.
The starting price of the recently sold model was $375,000 and the maximum value of the Apple-1 sold at auction is $815,000. It was purchased in 2016.
