This week, the European Union agreed to the next, already the ninth package of sanctions after the introduction of Russian troops into Ukraine. The restrictions will affect almost 200 people. The head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, as well as the director and host of the Besogon TV author’s program, Nikita Mikhalkov, fell under personal sanctions.

At the same time, some EU countries called for the easing of sanctions against five Russian businessmen “in the name of protecting global food security.”
