According to the organization’s reports, after Apple leaves Russia, the company continues to censor App Store content in the context of the Russian legal space. Apple specifically removes VPNs that are banned in these countries.
Benjamin Ismail, president of GreatFire, accused Apple of not wanting the company to lose market in these countries.
“Apple’s temporary withdrawal from Russia following the start of the CBO in Ukraine and the company’s decision to withdraw some of its production from China has not yet been reflected in the improvement in the situation in the App Store. “As far as we know, Apple remains willing to cooperate with repressive regimes,” said GreatFire director Benjamin Ismail.
