Maksut Shadayev, during a live broadcast, responded to a proposal to ban IT specialists from leaving Russia. According to the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, the department is against entry and exit restrictions for IT people. Shadayev urged the specialists to “go back” because “all conditions are there” or continue to work for Russian companies “there.”

Nikita Kulikov, a member of the council of experts on the digital economy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, today proposed to ban IT specialists from leaving Russia. He believes that IT specialists are Russia’s strategic talent pool.

Recently, various restrictions have been discussed in Russia for citizens working remotely from abroad. In particular, the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, proposed to ban remote work for employees of companies that work with personal data.
