In January 2023, a series of new laws for companies will enter into force in Russia: a single tax payment is introduced, new anti-corruption requirements for acquisition participants begin to operate, and the minimum wage increases. Let’s talk about the main thing.

One-time tax payment, new requirements for contracting participants: which laws come into force in January

  • enlarged minimum salary (minimum wage) and living wage. The minimum wage is now 16,242 rubles a month. Since the previous increase in June 2022, the indicator has grown by 6.3%. The subsistence minimum is set at 14,375 rubles (previously it was 13,919 rubles).
  • There was only one tax payment for companies. It will be opened for each taxpayer, it will be possible to transfer funds in a single payment. There is also a single deadline to pay taxes: the 28th of each month. This is expected to simplify the payment of taxes for citizens, individual entrepreneurs and legal entities.
  • State obligation to register modifications in the USRN when renting it will amount to 350 rubles for individuals and 1 thousand rubles for organizations. Previously, the fee was up to 2 thousand rubles for citizens and up to 22 thousand rubles for legal entities.
  • started acting new anti-corruption requirements to the bidders. However, the client’s officials or their close relatives cannot be participants in the contracting or be associated with legal entities that participate in the contracting.
  • Companies registered in the priority development areas of the Far Eastern District and the free port of Vladivostok have the right to apply reduced rates of insurance premiums not immediately, but within 10 years after sending a notification to the tax office about the use of such right. Now it arises automatically from the moment of obtaining the resident status.
  • Businesses that donate money or property, including equipment, to colleges and technical schools may receive investment tax credit. The decision in this regard will be determined by the regions.
  • Citizens who are looking for work, but are not registered as unemployed, will be able to receive assistance to move and relocate to another area to work. Previously, this service was available only to those who are officially registered. Same simplifies coordination of employer support programsthat attract employees from other regions.
