A couple of years ago, I talked about the ability to add an “invisible button” to any modern iPhone.

The bottom line: double or triple tapping on the back of the case or turns off the function you need.

Then the choice of this very function was small. Many played with these features and safely forgot. In addition, many had random triggers, and therefore the chip was not suitable for something really useful.

I advise you to return to this one again, because now you can point to the reverse of one of the most innocuous, but also exceptional features of iOS features – namely the topic. screen rotation lock (“orientation lock”).

How to turn on tap rotation lock

1. We open Settings.

2. Go to the section Universal access.

3. Finding an item touch.

four. In the menu, click on Back panel touch.

five. Choose tapping: either doubleor triple.

6. In the list, click on Orientation Lock.

Now, when you tap the back panel, you will either block or unlock the auto-rotate screen function. It’s faster than going to the Control Center, looking for a switch among 100500 buttons there and then closing the “curtain”. I only advise you to choose triple tapping is more reliable.

Unlike many other features that can be hung on such an “invisible setting”, orientation lock is unlikely to get in your way even in the event of a false positive. So consider it a useless way to use an old, but still little-known feature of the system.

PS Unfortunately, the feature cannot be enabled on iPad. He can’t recognize tapping.
