The supposedly cheaper version of Apple’s headphones, AirPods Lite will be available in stores between the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025., according to speculation by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo this Thursday (12). The manufacturer may be considering a more affordable model to compete with the competition.

Big tech could launch a “cheap” version of the phone in the second half of next year, with the expected update of the AirPods Max set to hit stores in 2020, according to the Apple business expert. The entry was not overlooked for the first half of 2025 either.

Regarding the price of AirPods Lite, Kuo says it should cost US$99, which is equivalent to R$508 at today’s price quote, excluding fees and taxes. This will mean a US$30 (US$153) discount compared to the more affordable model of the second-generation phone sold by the Cupertino giant.

The cheapest model on sale in Brazil currently has a suggested price of R$1,399 by Apple. The Pro version of the same generation is priced at 2,599 BRL, 3rd generation AirPods 1,899 BRL and AirPods Max 6,590 BRL.

Details on the technical specifications of the new cheap AirPods have not yet been disclosed, but the absence of some features is expected to provide the most affordable price. it is assumed that model will not support Spatial Audio or wireless charginge.g.

It is also worth noting that Apple has so far not confirmed the production of this version, although Kuo and other reliable sources have been talking about the model for a while.
