The Russian Geointellectual Space Research Center entered the Kazakhstan market. This was announced to RB.RU by the founder of the project, Denis Strukov.

Russian geomarketing and analytics service Geointellect entered the Kazakhstan market

The company does not disclose the exact amount of the investment to enter a new market. According to Strukov, the investments are “between 80,000 and 120,000 dollars”. Geointellec expects to recover the investment by the end of 2023.

Geointellect is a geoanalytics platform that aggregates different sources of location and traffic data. With its help, entrepreneurs can find a suitable place to open a store, restaurant or online order point.

The platform displays data on the number of people living and working in the cities or areas where outlets are planned to be opened. Residents are then segmented by gender, age, income, marital status, interests, and other criteria of interest.

In Kazakhstan, Geointellect operates in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent and Karaganda. In the second quarter of 2023, the company will launch nationwide. The service is paid, but a free demo version with a sample interface and data is available on the site.

In May 2022, the company was launched in Uzbekistan. The country became the company’s first foreign market with location. According to Strukov, the retail market in Kazakhstan is larger than in Uzbekistan, “more mature”: “Russian geomarketing and geoanalytics players are already present, including from other countries.”

Geointellect has been operating in Russia since 2003. The company was founded by the candidate of Technical Sciences Denis Strukov.
