Analysts named the top three best-selling Chinese car brands in Russia. In total, a record 120,000 Chinese-made passenger cars were sold in Russia in 2022, more than 39,000 of them from Chery.
Avtostat compiled the statistics for 2022 on the sales of cars of Chinese brands in Russia.
Chery became the best-selling brand – 39.3 thousand new cars of this brand were sold on the Russian market. In second place in terms of sales is Haval with 34.1 thousand cars sold. Geely closed the top three with a result of 26.7 thousand cars sold.
The top three brands accounted for 82% of all Chinese-brand cars bought in Russia, analysts said. In total, in 2022, 120,000 Chinese-made cars were sold in Russia on the primary market; the figure increased 7% year-on-year.
