Claude, an artificial intelligence developed to compete with ChatGPT, approved in economic law university exam. Although the result was minimal for confirmation, the professor who conducted the research said, answers were better than many real students.

artificial intelligence funded by Sam Bankman-Friedcreator cryptocurrency FTX has participated in an unusual experiment. Alex Tabarrok, professor and researcher at George Mason University (Virginia), trained and used Claude to perform a test on economic laws, and the result was surprising.

Strong competition for ChatGPT

The test underwent a blind correction, in which raters did not know the identity of each candidate and reached a sufficient score for approval. According to Tabarrok, Claude’s performance can already be considered an improvement over ChatGPT, which is open source artificial intelligence with the GPT-3 language.

The biggest problem with Claude’s answers is that they are mostly considered, without applying much reasoning or economic fundamentals. However, his result was still better than many real students. The best AI-written answer was posted on the Marginal Revolution blog, led by Tabarrok and economist Tyler Cowen.
