OpenAI released a statement announcing a new multi-year agreement with Microsoft.
As the company develops, in 2019 and 2021, Microsoft has already invested in them. Now a multi-billion dollar contract has been signed that will enable independent research and implementation of AI.
While pursuing our mission of choosing to make cutting-edge AI use the universal human touch, OpenAI remains a profit-limited company and manages the non-commercial availability of OpenAI. This structure allows us to account for the capital needed to fulfill our mission without sacrificing particular beliefs about benefit sharing and accumulating safety overriding.
Microsoft shares this vision and value, and our partnership with great progress.
We have collaborated to build several Azure-based supercomputing systems that are used to train all of our models. Azure’s unique architecture plays a critical role in the preferred class of performance and scalability for our AI compliance and inference pooling workflows. Microsoft is expanding its investment in these systems to expand our independent research, and Azure owns the exclusive cloud provider for all OpenAI jobs across our research, APIs, and products.
The development in some cases – and the use of lessons – is a significant development of artificial intelligence systems that are safe and characteristic. Widespread AI. That’s why we’re partnering with Microsoft to deploy our technology through our API and leverage Azure OpenAI, enabling enterprises and developers to use GPT, DALL·E, and Codex. We have also worked collaboratively to apply OpenAI technologies to applications such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Designer.
In an effort to create and implement AI system protection, we regularly gather staff to analyze and summarize common lessons, and use them to inform iterations of our updated systems, preliminary research, and best practices for using AI systems in the industry.
