More than half of Russians do not think about moving after retirement, and 28% are categorically against it, a study by the Rabota.ru and SberNPF service showed. At the same time, every quarter (25%) would still like to move to another city.
Every fifth (21%) dreams of moving outside of Russia after retirement.
The survey also revealed the 5 most suitable Russian cities for a comfortable life in retirement:
- Sochi – 23%,
- Saint Petersburg – 18%,
- Anapa – 17%,
- Moscow – 16%,
- Krasnodar – 15%.
The least popular, but also desirable cities for relocation were Kaliningrad, the cities of the Moscow region, Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod.
The main criterion for choosing a city (it was possible to choose several) Russians called a comfortable climate – 44% of respondents are ready to move around it. The second stimulus is the beauty and well-being of the city (38%), the third is the proximity of the sea, the mountains and the rich nature (33%), the fourth is the measured pace of life (32%).
For 29%, a well-developed infrastructure of the city is important, for 24% – the opportunity to get a job in retirement and spend interesting leisure time, for 12% – state programs and subsidies for the elderly. The list of main criteria is closed by the affordable price of housing.
The survey involved 5,000 people from all regions of the country.
