Yandex.Lavka started using the Live Activity interactive messaging feature on the iOS platform. This will allow the service to display the order status directly on the iPhone’s lock screen, without the need to open the app.
RB.RU was informed in Lavka that the service was the first among retailers to add this feature to its app. Lavka believes that this will be useful when the user does not want to be too distracted by the phone, for example, while watching a movie or cooking on the stove.
Customers can track order status on the iPhone lock screen in the latest version of the service app. Now it works in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Irkutsk.
Later, such an opportunity will also appear in other Yandex services, where users need to monitor changes in the status of the order, both in Food and in Go when ordering a taxi. So, on the locked screen of the smartphone, you can immediately see how long the car will arrive, as well as its number and color.
Apple added the Live Activity feature in iOS 16.1, which allows users to follow various online events on the smartphone’s lock screen. If the device has multiple apps that work with this feature, the system automatically displays new events that occur in these apps on the lock screen.
