The study included 104 children aged four to seven years. They wore a pedometer 24 hours a day for 40 days. Frequency of catching colds and other infections was also monitored. All children were given vitamin D3 supplements.

It turned out that the number of days with symptoms of infection was related to the number of steps per day and participation in regular sports. That is, the more the child moved, the less he would get sick.
