The department reports that they have already received more than one complaint from consumers about the quality of this type of product. The safety of these toys is often questioned in parenting communities as well. Most often they complain about the “chemical” smell and manufacturing defects.

“Laboratory tests of Cheburashka toys will include an extensive list of safety indicators, including the release of harmful chemical substances, toxicity, irritant action, various microbiological indicators,” Roskachestvo said in a statement.

In addition, the department examines the strength of the products, the resistance of the paint and checks the certificates of conformity. The purchase will be made in marketplaces and specialized children’s stores.
