“We are aware of an issue that allows this video’s upload date to be changed,” a YouTube spokesperson told Mashable. “We’re working to find solutions. Be clear that the oldest video on the platform will always be Jawed Karim at the zoo, which was uploaded on April 23, 2005 by one of our co-founders and helped kickstart nearly two decades of creativity.”
