Scientists have collected information from volunteers since 1986. 29,342 men aged 46-81 years, young (20-29 years old), middle-aged (40-49 years), and the average monthly ejaculation in the last year. It included ejaculation, sexual intercourse, nocturnal emissions, and masturbation.

It turned out that higher ejaculation frequency was associated with a lower risk of developing cancer. Compared with men who reported 4-7 ejaculations per month over their lifetime, men who ejaculated 21 or more times a month had a 31% lower risk of developing prostate cancer.
