VkusVill abandoned plans to make an initial public offering in 2023

The retail chain VkusVill will not hold its first public offering on the stock exchange (IPO) in 2023, the company’s press service told RB.RU. “This year there are no such plans,” they stressed.

“Our position on this issue has not changed. [IPO] one of the possible options for the development of the company”, said the press service of VkusVilla.

VkusVill’s plans for an initial public offering first became known in 2019. The company was in talks with potential investors to discuss the possibility of going public.

In September 2021, The Wall Street Journal reported on VkusVill’s plans to make an initial public offering in the United States on the Nasdaq stock exchange by the end of the year or early 2022 with an estimate of $3-5 billion.

In November of the same year, Andrey Krivenko, the founder of VkusVill, said that the company was considering attracting a strategic investor to the capital instead of going public.
