Google will start hiding unwanted images in search

TechCrunch writes about the innovations in the Google search engine.

Google has announced that it will enable the “safe search” filter for all users by default in the coming months. Previously, this option was available only to minors.

“Safe Search” means hiding potentially unwanted images from search results. These include scenes of violence, cruelty, pornographic content. The filter can be disabled in the settings.

Unwanted images will be blurred by default. To view them, you will need to click on the “view image” button.

Google enabled a “safe search” filter for minors in August 2021.
