The Russian application store RuStore for Android has left the beta testing mode and opened access to the console for foreign developers. This was reported to RB.RU in the press service of VK, which is developing the store.

RuStore completed beta testing and opened access for foreign developers

The App Store has been in beta testing since May 25, 2022. At the start of the beta, there were about 100 apps available, now there are about 5 thousand of them.

“At the current stage, all the necessary functionality has already been implemented: users can install and update the necessary applications, evaluate them and make purchases. Publishers, including foreign ones, to place applications and make a profit. In the near future, we also plan to update the design of the store, ”said Ivan Myzdrikov, VK vice president for the development of mail services and the RuStore application store, quoted by VK.

Now in RuStore users have access to a simple authorization by phone number, through VK ID, Sber ID, Yandex ID; fast download and installation of applications and updates; editorial picks with relevant content, adaptive search, and the ability to leave reviews and ratings.

Foreign publishers gained access to the localized console – the interface was translated into English.

About 5 thousand applications are published on RuStore and 3.5 thousand publishers are registered on the platform. In applications you can make in-app purchases, pay for subscriptions and applications paid with a bank card, through SBP and from a mobile phone account. RuStore is developing VK together with the largest IT companies in Russia with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development.
