A resident of the Skolkovo center represented by a company called Yablochkov, together with scientists from ITMO, has developed a wireless charging system designed for electric vehicles and built on magnetic resonance (the first in Russia). According to the students, the new technology does not use round connectors,

The system itself, which externally consists of two “boxes”, is simple and safe. Somehow for the first time, a car crash, a photo, a magazine, located under the house. The energy transfer goes through the air space between the “boxes”.

To recharge an electric car or even its electric bus, you just need to park it on a special site with the system installed, after which the battery charging starts automatically, and in the future the scheme can be implemented in elements of the urban environment – these are parking lots, public transport stops, etc.

The prototype is an assembled and fully functioning system that complies with the SAE J2954 set and is capable of transmitting up to 11 kW at a size of 30 cm. At the same time, a charging efficiency of 95% was achieved.

In the near future, Yablochkov specialists, together with researchers from ITMO, plan to present a comparative scheme that already delivers more than 50 kW of power, which will accurately charge a car with a medium-capacity battery in 60 minutes, in the longer term, preparations for the release of a 300 kW station. half an hour.
